In 2014 we visited London. One Sunday morning my 13 year old daughter and I woke up before everyone else and walked two miles to the Abbey Road crossing. It was a pilgrimage for us, the only two real Beatles fans in the family at the time.
 
On the way we stopped at a fancy pastry shop and had coffee and scones. When we got to Abbey Road we had the place all to ourselves, amazingly. Of course we took THE pictures you have to take.
 
We took the tube back to our flat, where everyone was still asleep. Somehow that detail made the whole thing even more special.
 
Anyway I painted this for her.
