When you’re a painter sometimes you’re just minding your own business and you look up and there’s a scene just crying out to be painted. The light, the color, the shapes, all of it comes together and just lays out before you. And it’s pretty much your responsibility to paint it when it does. 
That’s what happened here, on a little side street in the little town of Dripping Springs, Texas. About 5:30 on a Sunday afternoon. I turned a corner and there it was.
