This commission was a gift from a Wimberley, Texas mom to her graduating senior. The reference photo was taken from the hill called “Old Baldy” looking west, over a smaller hill toward an amazing sun set. The house in the bottom right corner, with the warm homey lights on, is theirs. 
There are other houses in the photo but I left them out because they don’t matter. When you paint you get to decide what goes in and what stays out.
